秦嶺Ⅲ號(hào)特長(zhǎng)隧道是陜西省“米”字型公路網(wǎng)骨架戶縣澇峪口至簡(jiǎn)車灣段高速公路的咽喉工程，也是我國(guó)國(guó)道主干線（GZ40）二連浩特至河口穿越陜西境內(nèi)最艱巨的工程地段。秦嶺Ⅲ號(hào)特長(zhǎng)隧道位于陜西省寧陜縣江口鎮(zhèn)境內(nèi)，距江口鎮(zhèn)27km，其中18km為既有泥結(jié)碎石路面拓寬，新建便道（業(yè)主已經(jīng)引入）9km。該工程跨越我國(guó)南北分界的秦嶺山脈，這里地形崎嶇，地勢(shì)險(xiǎn)要，山高溝深，人煙稀少，植被茂密，地質(zhì)構(gòu)造復(fù)雜，工程施工難度大。
秦嶺Ⅲ號(hào)特長(zhǎng)隧道為上、下行分離式隧道，其中上行線單洞長(zhǎng)4683米，下行線單洞長(zhǎng)4930米。我公司承擔(dān)施工的下行線出口K71+730~K74+500，共2770米。下行線秦嶺II號(hào)隧道進(jìn)口和秦嶺Ⅲ號(hào)出口位于付加河兩岸，山高谷深。II號(hào)隧道進(jìn)口位于付加河左岸，地形稍緩，我公司施工的秦嶺Ⅲ號(hào)出口位于付加河右岸約60米高的陡坡上，給施工準(zhǔn)備帶來一定的困難。隧道右側(cè)為一小山谷，溝內(nèi)常年流水，水質(zhì)清澈透明，前期籌備人員已飲用。施工期間由項(xiàng)目經(jīng)理部在適當(dāng)高度選址筑壩引作施工及生活用水。
